Frequently Asked Questions
You have questions about the rental and set up of communication networks. We have answers.
What sets Earth Communications apart from other providers of radio and cellular communications networks?
You can expect to receive the best technology and 24/7 service support by industry-leading technicians, but what really sets us apart from the competition is our outstanding service and our commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
How can Earth Communications help me set up a temporary communications network?
We have the people, equipment and experience required to set up an entirely new communications network or supplement an existing network. Ask us about portable towers, cellular communications, two-way radio, wireless rig intercom systems, satellite communications, television rentals and computer equipment rentals.
Can the length of a lease package be customized to meet our needs?
Yes, we can offer you a short-term lease, a seasonal lease or a full-year.
Do you place a high priority on safety?
For Earth Communications, nothing comes before safety. Nothing. Every technician we put in the field has safety training that addresses their work functions and where they work.
What if we need to rent equipment to supplement our existing network?
We can integrate rented equipment with any existing communications network to improve service or to meet a seasonal increase in network activity.
What proof of performance can you provide?
We have been in business for over ten years and are growing. That can’t happen in this business if you deliver poor service. Also, many of our clients have been with us for years and our customer list includes some of the biggest companies in oil exploration, mining, camp operation and recreational camp operation (hunting and fishing).
Can Earth Communications set up a communications network in non-industrial locations, such as a fishing lodge or a hunting camp?
Yes, we have set up communications networks in fishing camps, hunting lodges and other remote locations operated by the recreational industry. We can do voice, video, satellite TV, and high-speed internet for any number of users and any camp size.
Does Earth Communications do business in Canada and the U.S?
Our primary markets include Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, NWT & Yukon, but we can also service customers in the United States.
How much coverage could I get with a radio repeater?
Radio repeaters can provide two-way radio coverage over areas as large as a 50-kilometre radius.
Do you rent intrinsically safe two-way radios?
Are Earth Communications technicians specially trained to install and maintain intrinsically safe two-way radios?
Does Earth Communications have more than one location?
Yes, unlike many of our competitors, we have two locations and that allows us to provide a higher level of service. Later in 2013, we are opening a third office, which will be located in Grand Prairie.
Does Earth Communications provide rush service?
Yes, we offer 24/7 service, regardless of time of year and weather conditions. Put simply, if we can get to your location safely, we will get there.
What makes a career with Earth Communications attractive?
Our existing employees tell us Earth Communications is a great place to work because the owners really care about the safety of company employees. They also like that the company is growing and has a promising future.
Is special technical training and expertise required to become a technician for Earth Communications?
No, we can provide the technical training. What we seek are individuals who are service minded and eager to learn.
